David joined Galpins in 1994, becoming a Partner in 1998. He is a member of CPA Australia and is a registered tax agent.
David specialises in the areas of primary production and small business. He takes pride in ensuring he provides his clients with timely and relevant information, assisting them in achieving their business goals and obtaining the best outcome for his clients.
David is an active member of the Mount Gambier community, competing regularly in local and interstate cycling and triathlon events. David became a life member of the South Gambier Football Club in 2002 in recognition of his contributions to the club.
In his spare time, David enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family.

David is a Certified Practising Accountant. Joining Galpins in 1999 from University he became a partner in 2004.
David has extensive experience in a broad range of industries including transport, fishing, farming, retail and engineering and is able to assist with individual tax returns through to larger business enterprises.
Based at our Mount Gambier office, David is also available to assist clients in Adelaide.
David enjoys racing pacers and is on the committee of the Mt Gambier Harness Racing Club.

Renae started her accounting career in 2000 as a graduate in Adelaide based firm Perks Chartered Accountants after completing her Bachelor
of Commerce at Deakin University (Warrnambool).
While in Adelaide, Renae undertook the Institute of Chartered Accountants CA Program and was admitted as a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in January 2004. Later in 2004 she made the move to Hamilton, South West Victoria and worked for 18 months with WHK
Archer Group before joining Galpins in April 2006.
During the past 12 years Renae has specialised in the areas of taxation and business advisory. She has a broad range of experience within
industries such as primary production, professional practices and hospitality. Renae has also taken a keen interest in the area of
Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) and is an accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor™. She achieved this through the Self-Managed Super
Fund Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA), the peak professional body for SMSF advisors in the country, providing her with
specialist knowledge in relation to SMSF administration, taxation and compliance.
Outside of work, Renae enjoys horse racing as her family has had a long involvement in the local racing industry. Renae also keeps herself
busy playing tennis for Mount Gambier Tennis Club and hockey for West Hockey Club.

Jason joined the Galpins team in November 2001, and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Financial Planning from Deakin University in 2004. He completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants CA Program in 2006.
After finishing school in Mount Gambier, Jason helped manage the family's 400 cow dairy farm at Allendale for a number of years until he decided on a career in accounting. His experience from the farm has made him invaluable to the rural clients he serves as he has been through the ups and downs of rural life and is abreast of current issues through his continued involvement with the family farm.
Along with his rural client base, Jason also has clients across different industries from retail to construction to hospitality and everything in between. One of his aims is to help his clients by producing financial reports that are relevant to their enterprise, and then working with the client as they use the information to make decisions about their business.
Outside of his role at Galpins, Jason enjoys summer out on the tennis court, playing for the Mount Gambier Tennis Club where he is a former President and Treasurer. In winter, he is a keen supporter of the Essendon Football Club. He also enjoys spending his spare time with his 2 young children and in his garden; his lilies are the envy of the female staff members of the firm.

Daniel has a broad range of experience within industries such as primary production, retail, hospitality and logistics. He has a keen interest in business start-ups and assisting clients in growing their business to achieve their business and lifestyle goals.
Daniel is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of South Australia.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys tennis, playing music and is involved with various sporting clubs.

Ailie has been with Galpins since 2004, working on a variety of clients including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals. Ailie
has extensive knowledge in the primary production industry, as she grew up on a farm in Cape Douglas. Recently Ailie has been helping
clients with ongoing support of their accounting programs such as MYOB and XERO and our own payroll solution Galpins Payroll.
Outside of work, Ailie is kept busy by her three children and house renovations.

Alison commenced at Galpins in July 2018. With prior experience, Alison is primarily involved in assisting the partners with tax
obligations, such as preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS statements.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys going to the gym, baking and spending time with family and friends.
Qualifications and Memberships:
Breanna started at Galpins in 2016 in an accounting support position, she also helps in administration. Breanna liaises with clients and
banks to support the partners with preparation of financial statements, tax returns and BAS lodgements. She also prepares the required
registrations for businesses and individuals.
Breanna welcomed her first child in May 2019.
Outside of work, Breanna likes spending time with her friends and family, walking her dogs and travelling.

Emily joined Galpins in July 2017. Assisting the partners with client obligations such as tax, payroll and financial statements.
Emily welcomed her first child in February 2022, she has returned to work part time.

Qualifications and Memberships:
Kasey has been with Galpins since 2014 and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree at The University of South
Australia. Kasey initially started at Galpins in the administration area, moving in 2016 into an accounting position working in areas of
taxation and business services.
Kasey currently works part time.
Outside of work, Kasey enjoys socialising with friends and family.

Since joining Galpins in 2017, Mariska has been responsible for a wide variety of audit engagements including real estate trust accounts,
sporting clubs, aged care facilities, churches, aboriginal organisations and councils.
Outside of work, Mariska is the Captain of the Kalangadoo CFS brigade and the treasurer for the Kalangadoo Bowling Club. Mariska also enjoys
riding her horses and walking her dogs.
Qualifications and Memberships:
Since joining Galpins at the start of 2016, Matthew has been responsible for onsite audit engagements for a wide variety of organisations
including sporting clubs, aged care and local government.
As an auditor at Galpins, Matthew's responsibilities include ensuring high quality results for audit engagements, developing and implementing audit programs, developing advanced audit work papers, working to engagement budgets and completing all aspects of engagement files for presentation to audit managers and partners.
These responsibilities involve high attention to detail and an ability to communicate with stakeholders and responsible officers at all
levels in order to ensure audit objectives are met.
Qualifications and Memberships:
Nicole has been with Galpins for over 15 years. She started in Administration before shifting into Accounting where she produced tax
returns and financial reports for different entities as well as Self-Managed Super Funds.
After completing her Diploma in Financial Services in 2010 she moved into the Financial Planning division of the firm before returning to Accounting in 2019.
Outside of work, Nicole loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Samantha has been with Galpins since 2007 beginning in an administration role before moving into Taxation a few years later. She now
specialises in the areas of Taxation and Self-Managed Super Funds.
In 2017, Sam and her young family moved to Canada for 5 months, where they enjoyed a different culture before returning to the South East.
Outside of work, Sam plays netball for South Gambier and spends time with her family.

Sarah joined Galpins in 2007 in a taxation accounting role. After taking a study break to raise her young family, she is now part way
through studying her Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting, aiming to graduate later this year.
Sarah has 14 years’ experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns for a variety of businesses. She also enjoys assisting
small business clients with their MYOB and XERO accounting programs and payroll requirements.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
Qualifications and Memberships:
Scott commenced his first job with Galpins 26 years ago, before embarking on overseas travel and working in London and with other firms in
Australia. He re-joined Galpins when he returned to Australia and has been back with us for 6 years now.
His main areas of expertise are in the preparation of accounts and tax returns, providing assistance to clients with their software capabilities and helping out internally with our own IT and training of staff.
He was a top 5 finalist for the MYOB accountant of the year award for 2018.
Scott also set up his own business, 'Molten Chocolate Café from scratch and ran it for 2 ½ years prior to re-joining Galpins.
Scott owns a historic house and spends a lot of his spare time undertaking house restorations and garden design.
Qualifications and Memberships:
Shirley is Galpins' longest standing employee and has been with us for over 40 years. She heads up all the office administration tasks for
the Mt Gambier office.
She works across our entire client base providing support in the client administration, trust account management, ASIC administration and compliance and internal payroll.
Outside of work, Shirley also keeps herself busy by being a scout leader, which she has done for 16 years.
