SA Government

Local Government

Galpins has developed expertise in Local Government financial reporting and assurance from over 30 years of experience in providing financial statement preparation, prudential and systems reviews and auditing services to Local Government Councils and related entities. We have a high level of knowledge and experience with the financial reporting framework for local government, and the specific reporting and audit requirements of Councils including grant acquittals and sundry compliance requirements.

Education

Galpins is a key provider of audit services to state, catholic and private schools, and has a long association with the education sector. We provide audit and consulting services to more than 180 high schools, primary schools, preschools and OSHCs across all Adelaide metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia.

We regularly provide audit and consulting services to the Department of Education & Children's Services including internal audit services, audit program development and fraud investigations.

Health and Aged Care

Galpins is a significant provider of audit services to the health and aged care sector in South Australia.

We have been providing services across health and aged care for more than 25 years and have recently been appointed as the primary contract auditor for Health SA from the Auditor-General's Department. We provide audit services to independent and not for profit hospitals and aged care facilities in addition to the services provided to Health SA.

We have a thorough understanding of the Commonwealth's prudential requirements under the Aged Care Act 1997 and the User Rights Principles.

We also provide financial statement preparation and accounting standard interpretation services to non-audit clients and conduct detailed reviews of internal controls and governance arrangements.

Associations and Not-for Profit

Galpins provides audit, review and agreed upon procedures services to over 100 community based not-for-profit associations, including community service clubs, sporting clubs, churches and charities. Our customised audit, review and agreed procedures programs can help you to meet the reporting requirements of your association.

Company Audit

Galpins has developed expertise in auditing South Australian large proprietary companies, Australian Financial Services (AFS) holders as well as proprietary companies controlled by foreign entities. Galpins understands your pressures and strive to provide services that aim to ease the financial reporting burden. Our registered company auditors have assisted growing businesses to meet their financial obligations with ASIC and compliance with the Corporations Act 2001.

It is common for lenders to request companies to provide reviewed or audited financial statements due to ongoing financial requirements provided by the loan agreement (also known as debt covenants). Galpins has also specialised in providing services to these companies sharing our knowledge and experience with you to help you confidently meet the loan agreement requirements in relation to the audit.
